1 Disable all uneeded services. This usually means telnet, remote registry,
file sharing, Universal Plug and Play (not Plug and Play), net logon, re-
mote assistance, messenger, and Netmeeting Remote Desktop Sharing.

2 (Obvious) Run Windows Update and Install Updated Firewall and Antivirus
recommended:KPF

3 Change Administrator Password, disable guest account,

4 Disable simple file sharing

5 Stop using IE. Use Mozilla or Opera
