Tempest and Van Eck phreaking

Van Eck phreaking, also known as Tempest, is the detection of the graphics on a
computer screen by measuring the electromagnetic fields emitted by thescreen.
Although this sounds impossible, it has been proven to be quite doable, and had
been used by the government in the progam known as Tempest.

Tempest was recently declassified, resulting in the creation of the program
known as Tempest for Eliza, which uses these fields of energy
to broadcast radio signals.
